Beer at the Student Center!
... yeah, sadly, this is more of a call to action than a description of reality. However, we at the GSO wanted to spread the word: Justin Becker, who's in charge of the Nucleus Global Cafe at the Student Center, is actively seeking feedback about how they can better serve students. If you want to see alcohol served at the student center, all it will take is enough people emailing him to convince him 1) we're serious, 2) we can behave responsibly about it, and 3) it would make money. His email is atbeckerju@ohsu.edu. The rest is up to you!
All-Hill Ski trip!
Hey, all! Reservations for the all-hill ski trip are right around the corner. You know you want to go, so here are the details to reserve your place:
What: All Hill Ski Trip!
Where: Sunriver
When: Jan 8-10
Cost: $60 per person
CHECKS DUE 11/25 - NEXT WEDNESDAY!
IMPORTANT: In the memo area, each check should include the names of all the individuals to whom it applies.
Deliver checks to Jason Deignan:
"My office is on the 4th floor of the Vollum, on the right side of the window and bench as you exit the elevators. If there's a large dog in the floor it's the right place. I'll put an envelope on the inside of the door. If you trust campus mail, my mail code is L474 / Vollum 4425."

Delicious!
Just a quick note - as part of our attempt to make better use of the vendors selling food at the Nucleus Glabal Cafe, food for the GSO meeting on November 4th will come from Anna the Thai. Hope you can come and enjoy this break from our usual pizza!

Welcome, agenda overview, thanks for the food!: James (~5 min; 5:15)
Revision of budget: Josh (~15 min; 5:20)
Constant costs: Meetings for $2k, BBQ for $1k, ~$6k for SRF
i. remaining budget: ~$4k
b. Revised Budget Plan: two Student-Faculty mixers (snacks, beer, soda) at the Student Center for $1k each, Sun River ski trip for ~$1k
i. Student-Faculty mixer decision factors:
1. Student and faculty interest
2. More events keeps GSO presence fresh throughout the year
3. Promotion of the student center helps keep it on track for changes we’d like to see (beer being served, etc)
ii. Ski trip decision factors:
1. Student interest
2. Attendee willingness to pay an increased amount (~$100)
3. Making it a small part of the budget means more money

a. Current confirmed attendees: 12
b. Deadline for confirmation of attendance and payment
